The Annual Geneva Sri Lankan Association Year-End Party for 2012 took place on 1st December at Les Avanchet, Geneva. The occasion was well attended by expatriate Sri Lankans living in Geneva and other neighbouring cities of Switzerland.
H.E. Mr. Ravinatha Aryasinha, Sri Lanka’s new Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, also participated in the evening’s proceedings. Santa also paid a visit and distributed Christmas gifts to the kids.
The guests were treated to a traditional Sri Lankan buffet dinner followed with dancing to live music provided by the Chaya Vibrations – a Sri Lankan band from neighbouring France. A Tombola and a Raffle draw for a few lucky winners captured the mood of an evening enjoyed by everyone.
The Committee would like to thank all those who attended the evening and very special ‘thank you’ to everyone who helped to prepare, organize the evening and finally, getting together for the difficult and tiring task of cleaning up – yes, it was a tremendous job from all of you. Your dedication contributed to another successful and enjoyable evening.
